#MakeCancerLessScary is an email and social media initiative, designed to raise funds and awareness each fall by leveraging the Halloween holiday and acknowledging that receiving a cancer diagnosis is one of the most frightening experiences in life. Make Cancer Less Scary seeks to further expand the JCCF's reach and raise crucial funding for its life-changing research.
Funds raised through Make Cancer Less Scary will be dedicated to research - funding the most promising research initiatives of the UCLA Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center (JCCC), creating more effective, less toxic approaches to cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
We need your help. This year, we want to connect with as many people as possible. The 2020 Make Cancer Less Scary campaign will begin immediately with a Call To Artists to contribute art. Starting in September, we will post the entries on our social media (tagging and linking the artists, of course). Our theme is Scary/Beautiful, and artists may create new works, or submit previous works that fit the theme. Graphic designers and lettering artists are invited to create their versions of "Make Cancer Less Scary."
